Espoo's report on circular economy
The City of Espoo has published a report on the implementation of circularity in the city in 2022. This the first time the city has provided a compilation of the progress of its circular economy measures. The city based its reporting on the ten circularity goals promoted by the Circular Cities Declaration.
The report highlights a number of key activities Espoo undertook in 2022 to promote the transition to a circular economy. They include the establishment and further development of circular economy goals and strategies, citizen engagement and awareness-raising and embedding circularity principles in urban planning and asset management.
