Self-evaluation Circularity Tool launched to support circular ventures

DEFINITE CCRI has launched a new resource aimed at circular economy entrepreneurs and project developers, designed to help them evaluate their investment readiness and effectively prepare their circular ventures for funding opportunities.

The Circularity Tool targets individuals and teams who have strong ideas rooted in circular economy principles but may lack experience in areas such as financial and technical due diligence, or social and environmental impact assessments. It provides a structured pathway to help ventures progress from concept to investor outreach.

The tool is divided into two core modules, each containing two units. The first module is a self-evaluation tool, consisting of a form assessing and scoring the financial and technical readiness of the business. The second module provides educational resources and guidance to support users in preparing for due diligence and investor appraisal processes. Users are encouraged to complete the tool sequentially for best results, although they may navigate freely. The tool includes features such as progress tracking, self-assessment, and tailored guidance.

The tool is self-paced and designed to accommodate ventures at various stages of development. While the core content can be reviewed in a few hours, the implementation of suggested actions will vary based on the venture’s maturity, available resources, and complexity.

The DEFINITE-CCRI Circularity Tool is accompanied by a series of educational videos to guide users through its modules. The videos can be accessed on the DEFINITE-CCRI YouTube channel.

The release of the Circularity Tool concludes the DEFINITE-CCRI project at its current phase. If you’re curious about the outcomes of this project, you can read this impact story.
